2022 Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (CORP)
Project Background
The Village of Union Grove has completed its Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (CORP). This plan replaces the Village’s 2003 Park and Open Space Plan and provides an updated inventory of park and recreation assets, community priorities, and long-term recommendations for improvements. The CORP follows Wisconsin Chapter NR 50 requirements, which makes the Village eligible for state and federal outdoor recreation grant programs.
The plan will guide park planning decisions for the next five years, at which point it must be updated again.
Public Participation
Two rounds of public input shaped the final plan:
• Park and Recreation Survey. Residents shared their current park use and preferences for future amenities through a survey distributed in June 2021.
• Community Engagement Session. A public workshop was held on August 19, 2021, to review existing conditions, discuss survey results, and identify priorities for park improvements.
