Public Hearing Scheduled for Assisted Living Facility Zoning Amendment

The Plan Commission will hold a public hearing on Monday, June 1 at 6:00 p.m. at the Municipal Center (925 15th Avenue) to consider a proposed zoning amendment for the assisted living facility (CBRF) project at 1055 5th Avenue.

The project received conditional use approval earlier this year. During final review, it was determined that the original site plan did not reflect the correct property boundaries, which resulted in the required setbacks not being met.

The applicant has since revised the site plan and shifted the building location. As part of that revision, a zoning amendment is being requested to modify the Planned Unit Development (PUD) setback requirements from 50 feet to 30 feet to allow the project to move forward.

Residents are encouraged to attend and provide input. Additional information, including updated site plans and supporting materials, will be available with the posted meeting agenda.
