Village Board Approves New Waste and Recycling Contract
On Monday, October 27, the Village Board approved a five-year contract with Waste Management to provide waste and recycling services in Union Grove. Waste Management will take over service beginning January 1, 2026, replacing John’s Disposal.
Weekly trash pickup and bi-weekly recycling pickup will continue under the new agreement. The Village will share more information in the coming weeks about any changes to collection days or pickup times.
In December, John’s Disposal will collect its existing trash and recycling carts from households. After that, Waste Management will deliver new carts to all residences before service begins in January.
