License & Permit Types

A right-of-way permit is required for any work or activity that takes place within the Village’s public right-of-way, such as streets, sidewalks, alleys, or other public easements. This includes installing or repairing utilities, driveways, sidewalks, curb cuts, or any excavation or construction that affects the roadway or shoulder. The permit ensures that work is performed safely, meets Village standards, and protects existing infrastructure. Property owners, contractors, and utility companies must obtain approval before beginning any right-of-way work.
