  • Village Board Approves $5.88 Million Combined Revenue Bond Sale

    Recently the Village approved a $5.88M Combined Revenue Bond, Series 2022A for the purpose of paying the cost of additions, improvements and extensions to waterworks system, storm water system and sewerage system and refunding the Villages Waterworks System Revenue Bonds, Series 2012A, dated March 29, 2012.

  • Business Grants and Loans Available

    The Village Board recently approved changes to allow more grant funding available to local businesses, and to expand the geographic lending area to cover beyond downtown.  Racine County Economic Development Corporation (RCEDC) is accepting applications for business grants up to $5,000, with a priority on business moving into vacant buildings or spaces.

  • Village Seeks Applicants for Committee Openings

    Interested in getting involved in your local government? The Village of Union Grove is seeking applicants for openings on Village Committees and Commissions. To be eligible, applicants must reside within the Village limits of Union Grove. Current openings, as of April 26, 2022, are listed below.

  • Yard Waste Collection

    Yard waste collection for 2022 has begun.  Collections will continue the second and fourth Fridays of the month through November.

  • Park Clean Up On April 30

    The annual Spring Park Clean-Up will be on Saturday, April 30 from 10 a.m. to noon (with a rain makeup date of May 7). If you would like to help, meet at School Yard Park and clean up crews will disburse from there. Lunch will be served at School Yard Park for all volunteers after the clean up. We ask volunteers to bring their own gloves. Please RSVP by April 27 so we can get an accurate lunch count. Contact Village Trustee Patrick Brinkman, at pbrinkman@uniongrove.net to RSVP.

  • E-Waste Collection on Saturday, April 30

    An electronics recycling event will be held at the Union Grove Wastewater Treatment Plant (3710 67th Dr.) on Saturday, April 30, 2022 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The following items will be accepted for collection: computers, monitors, circuit boards, cables, printers, mice, keyboards, TV’s, stereos, VCRs, DVD players, power tools, telephones, small appliances and electrical equipment. There is a disposal fee of $20 per TV, $10 per tube monitor, $5 per microwave and $5 per large exercise equipment. For questions, contact Midwest Recycling at 847-582-1730.

  • Public Hearing on Backyard Chickens on April 25

    A public hearing will be held at the Village Board meeting on Monday, April 25 at 6 p.m. to gain feedback from Union Grove residents about whether chickens should be allowed to be kept in the backyard of residential properties.

  • Spring Election Results

    A total of 916 ballots were cast in Union Grove in the Spring Election held on April 5, 2022, representing a 32.2% turnout of registered voters. Election results are available on the Racine County website at: https://www.racinecounty.com/departments/county-clerk/election-information/election-results

  • “Eye on Water” Online Water Monitoring

    Water utility customers who have had a “smart” meter installed in recent years now have the ability to monitor their home or business usage online (or by mobile app), with hourly readings, past usage graphics and other features. Monitoring enables customers to detect leaks from toilets, outside hose bibs, or appliance failures, as well as seasonal usage.

  • Spring Election Information – April 5, 2022

    Polls will be open for the Spring Election on Tuesday, April 5, from 7 AM to 8 PM at Union Grove Municipal Center (925 15th Ave).  The ballot will include races for Village Board, School Board, County Supervisor, Circuit Court Judge, and Court of Appeals Judge.  The ballot will also include an advisory referendum on the use of ATVs, UTVs and golf carts on Village roads (a Frequently Asked Questions on this topic can be found here).
